May 10, 2019 -- Standard Culinary and Technical Skills (SCTS) Training Corp. was given the Certificate of Appreciation for being one of the sponsors of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas on its fund-raising event dubbed as "Animosaic 2: Humans of St. La Salle" held last April 7 at the university track oval.
With more than 5,000 participants, the event was an attempt to break the world record of largest human formation using umbrellas which is currently held by China with a little over 3,000 participants. More than this, however, the event was intended to gather Lasallians and partners to commemorate the 300th death anniversary of St. John Baptist De La Salle, and to continue to live his mission of making quality education accessible to the least, the last, and the lost. Proceeds of the event were given to the One La Salle Scholarship Endowment Fund.
As a constant partner of DLSU-D, SCTS sponsored the event to show its gratitude and support to the institution and its worthwhile endeavor. SCTS has been the assessment center for the students (HRM, senior high school, and junior high school) of DLSU-D since 2015.
SCTS Board Member, Lourdes Rudio received the certificate during the Appreciation program of the project led by Marco Polo, director of the University Advancement Office and event convenor. Also present during the program were DLSU-D President, Br. Gus Boquer FSC, and Vice Chancellor for Mission, External Affairs and Advancement, Dr. Myrna Ramos.
